The burden is light???

Some have likely heard the quote attributed to Jesus, “My yoke is easy. The burden is light.”

I fail to understand why the picture that often accompanies this saying us the yoke being a big harness that connects two cows, the metaphor implied that two can pull a heavy burden easier than one.

Take a moment to reconsider this….

Do you know the words yoke, yoga, karma, knot, and religion all mean to connect?

Let me dare to ask if Jesus was saying something about us, not cows plowing a fieldL what if he was saying “Love is the connection, a knot with no beginning and no end.”

What if he was teaching about how we're connected is simple?

What if he saying our relationship to ourselves and others isn’t heavy, that it’s not a burden?

What if he was saying it’s easy because it's —literally— light?

Everything—you, me, and every form of matter—is made of stardust, light. It isn't heavy.

What you'll find here is all about the middle path between a core and a boundary, a dynamic system. That path is a knotted rainbow, a Pattern that's the simplest form of connection.

We are connected. This work is High Play, an invitation to join us in celebrating the unity that is woven by our richly textured diversity.

May we remember that it is in the light born of loving ourselves and caring for one another that we find our way Home.
